Albert Lea Seed House Garden Center

Darnell "The Guru" Reindl
With over 35 years of gardening and retail nursery experience, if Darnell doesn't know about it, she'll educate herself.  As much as she loves plants, she loves customers more and takes great satisfaction in helping people find solutions, be it in the wild bird seed aisle or the shrub lot. Her two grown children, grandson and husband occupy her time when she's not in the Garden Center.

Adam "The Beard" Routh

Adam, a resident of New Richland, MN, is a seasoned veteran here at the Seed House and serves as the warehouse/jack-of-all-trades/go-to guy.  When he's not at the Seed House, Adam enjoys farming with his brother and uncle, riding his Harleys, fishing (mainly ice) and playing with his pups: Scotch, Brutus and Cletus.  Adam is an aspiring beard competitor. LIFE IS GOOD!

Missy "Busy Lady" Owens

Serving in the garden center off and on since 2007, Missy divides her life between work and spending time with her daughters, Lila, Lucy and Leni.  Missy enjoys meeting customer's dogs and cuddling the resident Seed House cat. When she isn't selling bird seed and horse feed, Missy enjoys live music, crafting and family time.  Good pens, good chocolate, good wine, good bread and good cheese help complete Missy's world.

Mary "Ordering Monkey" Boorsma

Mary has served at the Seed House since January 2015.  In addition to trying to keep the garden center shelves stocked, she manages three growing daughters and a husband.  If you can guess which job is harder, she'll give you 5% off your next purchase.

Darla "Bandanna" Robbins

When Darla started in the garden center business, she didn’t know a petunia from a pansy.  You’d never guess it now.  Darla knows about trees, shrubs, flowers, dog foods, horse care, wild birds and more.  She’s an avid gardener herself, spending every minute outdoors when the weather allows.  Her gnome-land is legendary and she serves Seed House customers well.

Emily  "Cat Lady" Brummer
Emily grew up outside of Alden, lived in Madison, Chicago and Boston over the course of 12 years and moved back to Southern Minnesota. She's been with the Garden Center since 2014 and enjoys working front-of-house as well as learning the ropes of the warehouse, including the forklift.  Emily, master cat spoiler, is happy to talk cats with anyone, anytime. She also enjoys traveling, antiquing, camping, biking, singing and reading.
